Beni Baningime’s willingness to learn and improve has left a good impression on his Everton teammate Morgan Schneiderlin.

The youngster only broke into the Toffees first team setup this season, making his debut against Chelsea in a fourth-round English League Cup encounter in October.

Baningime, 19, has since gone to make 10 more appearances at the heart of the midfield and Schneiderlin said he is impressed with his attitude, also hailing his qualities.

"He is learning and what I like with Beni is, every day, he asks things. He asks how he can improve and he listens to us,” Schneiderlin told Everton TV.

“Sometimes you have young players and you tell them something and it goes in one ear and out of the other. With Beni, I think he picks up on what we say and where he can improve.

“He is a very good footballer. You can see that he’s not scared to tackle, he’s not scared to get on the ball and he likes to play forward."

Baningime has been involved in Everton’s previous three games with Sam Allardyce offering him substitute roles against Manchester City, Liverpool and Swansea City.

And with few games left to the end of the 2017-18 season, Schneiderlin wants more action for his fellow central midfielder.

“I like this type of player. Hopefully, he can have a few games from now until the end of the season and progress every year.”

Baningime will hope manager Allardyce yields to the Frenchman’s advice ahead of Monday’s tie against Newcastle United as the DR Congo-born midfielder eyes his ninth Premier League appearance.
