Ahead of Wednesday’s Uefa Champions League semi-final return leg, former Arsenal striker Ian Wright believes Liverpool’s attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will prove too difficult to handle for AS Roma.

Last week, both Salah and Firmino grabbed a brace as Mane helped himself with one goal to see the Kops cruise to a 5-2 first-leg win.

This season, Eusebio Di Francesco’s men are yet to concede at the Stadio Olimpico in the competition. However, the 54-year-old is confident that the Reds, with their exciting front three, will breach the Italian outfit’s defence to nick a place in the final.

“I can’t see Liverpool failing to score in Rome — they’ve managed it pretty much everywhere else all season,” Wright told The Sun.

“It’s not just PFA Player of the Year Salah, either.

“Roberto Firmino can match his 11 goals in the competition and qualifiers and Sadio Mane’s not far behind with eight.

“Going forward, Klopp’s lads have been as good as it gets in Europe this season and I just can’t see them missing out on a place in the final tomorrow.

“I know Roma haven’t conceded a Champions League goal at home all season but they haven’t had to handle Salah, Firmino and Mane either.”
