Landon Donovan's career may not quite be over yet after all.
According to multiple reports, Real Salt Lake has offered the LA Galaxy legend a contract for the 2017 season. Soccer Wire first reported the contact between RSL and Donovan.
The LA Galaxy and U.S. national team legend retired following the 2014 MLS season, only to briefly return in September for a nine-game stint with the Galaxy. The 34-year-old started both legs of the Galaxy's Western Conference semifinal defeat to the Colorado Rapids.
Donovan is a now a free agent and despite reports he would return to retirement, it appears his playing status is back in the air.
