Everton have confirmed that Wayne Rooney will take the No.10 shirt at Goodison Park that is due to be vacated by Romelu Lukaku.

Rooney completed an emotional return to the club he left 13 years ago on Sunday, paving the way for Lukaku to move the other way to Manchester United.
United confirmed on Saturday that they had reached an agreement with the Toffees over a fee for the Belgium international, believed to be in the region of £75 million.

And the Toffees have wasted little time in reassigning the striker’s shirt, with Rooney set to wear the squad number he has made his own at both club and international level.
Rooney scored a total of 253 goals at United, in 559 games, having begun his career by netting 15 in 71 games for the Toffees.
