Real Madrid will host Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie with both teams desperate to make it through to the competition's final.

Pep Guardiola's side hold a 4-3 advantage from the first leg at Etihad Stadium, but goals from Karim Benzema and Vinicius kept Real Madrid in the tie.

Last week's enthralling encounter has whetted the appetite for this week's meeting in the Spanish capital, with the winner set to face Liverpool or Villarreal in the final.

Carlo Ancelotti's team have already eliminated Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea from this season's Champions League with Benzema netting 14 goals in the competition.

Real Madrid vs. Man City predicted lineups

David Alaba is a doubt for Real Madrid after aggravating an injury in the first leg against City. The Austrian could still factor for the Spanish champions, but Eder Militao will be involved after missing the weekend win over Espanyol due to suspension.

Ancelotti could make changes to his team from the first leg. With Rodrygo on the right wing, Real Madrid were frequently left open. This could see Fede Valverde deployed on the right side instead, as was the case against Chelsea and PSG.

John Stones and Kyle Walker are both doubts for the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, meaning Guardiola could turn to Fernandinho at right-back.

On the other hand, Guardiola may be tempted rush Walker back, even if he can only play a portion of the match. Walker is crucial to the way City play with a high line. Real Madrid exploited the left wing with Walker missing and they will look to do so again if the England international is unavailable.

Man City predicted lineup (4-3-3): Ederson — Cancelo, Laporte, Dias, Walker — Rodri, De Bruyne, Bernardo — Foden, Jesus, Mahrez

Real Madrid vs. Man City betting odds

Last season, away goals would make Real Madrid favourites ahead of the second leg. Now, though, with away goals abolished for the start of the 2021/22 campaign, this Champions League semi-final tie is poised very finely.

Benzema and Vinicius carry genuine goal threat, but City will also fancy their chances of finding the back of the net at the Santiago Bernabeu. This tie could swing either way, but both teams are expected to score.
