Kylian Mbappe and Neymar scored as Paris Saint-Germain responded to their Champions League elimination with a comfortable 3-0 win over Bordeaux in Ligue 1.

Mauricio Pochettino's team were the subject of boos and whistles throughout the match as the Parc des Prince crowd demonstrated their frustration at PSG's defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday.

It took PSG 24 minutes to open the scoring when Mbappe finished off a quick, one-touch passing move by the home team around the edge of the opposition penalty area.

Despite this, PSG struggled to get going and were passive for much of the first half. Bordeaux sat deep, but had a number of good opportunities on the counter attack.

Neymar doubled PSG's advantage seven minutes into the second half, finishing from close range after being set up by Achraf Hakimi. The Brazilian's goal was met with a combination of cheers and jeers.

PSG looked to have been awarded a penalty kick soon after, but VAR was used to spot an offside in the build-up before Leandro Paredes finished high into the roof of the net to complete the scoring at 3-0.

PSG vs. Bordeaux updates

FULL-TIME: PSG 3-0 Bordeaux

Job done for PSG as they cruise to a comfortable win, but boos ring around the Parc des Princes at full-time. It's going to take more than this result and performance to make it up to the home fans.

90+1 min: Draxler ON, Wijnaldum OFF - Pochettino rings another change and Wijnaldum, who gets booed by the home fans, comes off. He can be relatively pleased with how he played today.

90 mins: There will be four minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.

87 mins: CHANCE, PSG! Messi off the post! That's the closest Messi has come to finding the back of the net today. He created the space for himself on the edge of the box, but his left-footed shot came back off the post.

85 mins: Mbappe is still trying to get in behind the Bordeaux backline as often as possible, but there is a sense that this match effectively finished with the third PSG goal. The home team are cruising to all three points.

83 mins: Diallo ON, Mendes OFF - Pochettino makes his first change of the match and it's a like-for-like change. There is some speculation about Diallo's future at PSG right now.

79 mins: CHANCE, BORDEAUX! Penalty claim! Mara believes he was fouled inside the area as he chased down a rebound inside the box, but the officials haven't awarded anything. Bordeaux have a strong claim there!

76 mins: Hakimi shoots! The PSG right back takes aim, but the ball was always rising and the Bordeaux goalkeeper can watch it flash over his bar with relative ease.

73 mins: It's interesting that Pochettino hasn't made any changes to his team with 17 minutes left to go. It's as if he wants a level of atonement from the players who let him down in the Champions League during the week.

70 mins: Further questions will be asked of Pochettino between now and the end of the season. Will the Argentine leave PSG in the summer? He continues to be linked with a return to the Premier League with Manchester United searching for a new manager.

67 mins: MESSI... over! In trademark style, Messi dribbles past one, two, three, cuts inside on to his left foot and gets the shot away, but the ball flies over the crossbar.

64 mins: All of a sudden PSG have stepped up the tempo and intensity of their play in the attacking third and that is reflected in the two goals they have scored in this second half.

61 mins: GOAL! PSG! There's a third PSG goal and it had been coming! First, Neymar has a shot at the back post blocked. Then the chance is recycled and Paredes sweeps a composed finish into the back of the net from 12 yards out!

58 mins: NO PENALTY! VAR was used to spot an offside in the build-up and the award of the penalty kick to PSG has been reversed. Bordeaux get away with one.

56 mins: PENALTY TO PSG! Marcelo fouls Wijnaldum inside the box and the referee points to the spot. PSG will have the chance to add a third goal from the spot!

52 mins: GOAL! PSG! That's just too easy for PSG! Hakimi is played in behind, he squares for Neymar and the Brazilian finishes into the net. Boos ring around the Parc des Princes! No emotion on the face of Pochettino!

48 mins: PSG have been the better of the two teams so far, but this has been another passive performance by Pochettino's team. Can they step it up in the second period? Can they add some gloss to the scoreline?

46 mins: The second half is under way! PSG have a 1-0 lead over Bordeaux thanks to Mbappe's goal!

HALF-TIME: PSG 1-0 Bordeaux

Mbappe's goal is the difference between the two teams, although this first half has been about more than just what has happened on the pitch. The fans are letting their disgruntlement known!

45 mins: There will be TWO minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the first half. Meanwhile, Oudin has been shown a yellow card.

43 mins: The home fans inside the Parc des Princes are now leaving their seats as part of a protest against their own club. They are unhappy with some of the decisions that have been made and their repeated failures in the Champions League.

41 mins: Paredes is shown the first yellow card of the match as the first half meanders to a close. Passive once again from PSG.

39 mins: The home team might be leading, but the Parc des Princes isn't a particularly happy place today!

36 mins: Mbappe takes aim! Neymar fees his teammate on the break, Mbappe cuts inside on to his right foot 20 yards out from goal, but there's too much power on his curling effort and it flies over the target.

35 mins: Mbappe remains PSG's most productive player. They really can't afford to lose him at the end of the season...

32 mins: This match has followed a familiar theme for PSG this season - very passive, not much energy, but the brilliance of their attacking players is the thing making the difference.

30 mins: Neymar is offside! The PSG forward was played in behind the Bordeaux defence, his lob drifts well wide, but the flag was up anyway.

28 mins: How will the away side respond to falling behind? Bordeaux have played some like football at times, but there is now a sense that they are struggling to get out from the back.

25 mins: That is always the risk for teams like Bordeaux against a front three of Mbappe, Messi and Neymar. There is always a chance that they will string a move together and create an opportunity like the one from which Mbappe scored the opener.

24 mins: GOAL! PSG! The breakthrough is made and Mbappe has the ball in the back of the net. Some nice one-touch play around the box presented the PSG forward with the opportunity and he made no mistake with the finish.

21 mins: CHANCE PSG! Neymar... over! The Brazilian lines up a freekick on the edge of the box, but it was never even close to finding the back of the net. Some more boos and whistles from the home fans!

20 mins: It's all a bit passive from PSG at the moment. They are seeing plenty of the ball, but the away team are finding it easy enough to sit deep and maintain their shape on the edge of their own box.

15 mins: It's a strange atmosphere at the Parc des Princes. Groans have already been heard. This home crowd wanted an emphatic response from their after what happened against Real Madrid. They haven't got that so far!

12 mins: Keeper comes off his line! Messi threads a pass through to Neymar, but Poussin comes off his line to make the slide tackle on the Brazilian outside his box!

10 mins: PSG have had control of the game. They have dominated possession with much of their play coming down the right side, but Bordeaux have retained a threat on the counter!

6 mins: Hwang was in behind! The Bordeaux forward is released into the box and his low shot is saved by Navas, but the flag is eventually raised. He was clearly offside.

4 mins: Messi and Neymar combine down the right side before the Brazilian has a shot rebound away from goal. Then Paredes fires well over the target from the edge of the box!

2 mins: CHANCE, BORDEAUX! Navas saves! The PSG goalkeeper is forced into early action! The shot came in from distance and Navas palmed away for a corner. Then Onana has a header flash just wide!

1 min: Bordeaux get the match under way! There were some jeers and whistles from the home fans before kick-off! They are showing their frustration at recent results.

7.55am: There are reports in the Spanish media this morning that Mbappe has actually already signed a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid. The French forward's future remains the subject of much speculation!

7.45am: Not long until kick-off at the Parc des Princes. The omens are good for PSG today. Can they bounce back from their mid-week disappointment to get back on track in the league?

7:20am: BORDEAUX TEAM NEWS: The visitors need points to move away from bottom place in the Ligue 1 table. That will be a tall order for them here, away to the table-toppers!

Bordeaux XI - Poussin; Kwateng, Marcelo, Ahmedhodzic, Gregersen; Oudin, Ignatenko, Onana, Guilavogui, Adli; Elis.

PSG XI - Navas; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Nuno Mendes; Gueye, Danilo, Wijnaldum; Messi, Neymar, Mbappe.

6:45am: PSG haven't just lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League in the last week. They also suffered a defeat to Nice in Ligue 1 last weekend. Another negative result would heap even more pressure on Mauricio Pochettino and his players!

6:30am: We'll bring you the team news as soon as we have it. PSG have tweeted out their matchday squad for today's match. How will the Ligue 1 leaders respond to their crushing Champions League defeat to Real Madrid?

6:00am: One of the players capable of giving a lift to PSG during these down times will be out against Bordeaux. PSG are going to be relying on its Big 3 to produce at home.

PSG vs. Bordeaux lineups
