The 2023/24 Premier League title race promises to treat fans with the best finish to an English top flight campaign in recent memory as the league enters the home stretch with three clubs in contention at the top.
Arsenal and Manchester City all remain firmly within the hunt, residing within a one-point margin at the top of the table. Underpinning how close the race is, Arsenal hold the top spot but do not control their own destiny, as Man City have played one fewer game and therefore have a higher maximum possible points.
Liverpool have fallen back in the chase, as the Reds drew with West Ham and lost to both Crystal Palace and Everton down the stretch, meaning their chances of keeping pace have bottomed out. They sit five points behind Arsenal with just three matches to go in the season, an almost surely insurmountable gap.
As the teams jockey for position, The Sporting News brings you an updated and detailed look at who has the best shot to finish on top, and who could fall flat as the season winds to a close.

Odds to win the Premier League title in 2024
Following damaging defeats for both Arsenal and Liverpool in recent weeks, Manchester City are in control of the Premier League title race. Arsenal fell to Aston Villa while Liverpool slumped to defeats against Crystal Palace and Everton, with both sides failing to find the back of the net in their losses.
Arsenal's win over Tottenham was a potentially significant one, as it saw them move onto 80 points from 35 games and four points clear at the top of the table, but it is the defending champions who control their own destiny as they have a game in hand after their win at Nottingham Forest saw them move back to within a point of the top.

All three title contenders crashed out of Europe at the same time, with Man City and Arsenal both beaten in the Champions League quarterfinals while Liverpool were dumped from the Europa League at the same stage. Normally, one side being able to focus on just league play could be seen as a slight advantage, but with all three clubs no longer battling on that front, none have balancing a heavy fixture list down the stretch hanging over their heads.

Premier League title prediction — April 22, 2024 (5 matches remaining)
- Title prediction: Man City
- Odds: -200 (BetMGM)
For those of us hoping for a change in Premier League supremacy — oof. Big, big oof. Both Liverpool and Arsenal cracked on the same weekend, and with it their buffer between Man City and a record fourth straight Premier League title.
Sure, the lead is just two points, and there's plenty of time for Pep Guardiola's side to also fall short, but recent history has crafted a sudden inevitability around this title chase. Man City have a strong history of closing out the season on top, even as those behind them nip at their heels.
Last season felt over even before Man City officially took the lead, and now that they're in front, it will take an uncharacteristic failure for them to fall short. Arsenal's season-long defensive masterclass broke apart against Unai Emery and Aston Villa, while Liverpool's barnburning attack came up short against Crystal Palace. Meanwhile, Man City keep rolling along even as Erling Haaland suffers through a goal scoring slump, as their squad is just simply deeper and more forgiving than any other in Europe.
This title race felt like the most exciting in years just one week ago — and now, it suddenly and abruptly feels over. Arsenal and Liverpool cannot drop any more points the rest of the way, and Man City will need to slip themselves, something they haven't done in years.
