Premier League Summer Series 2023 schedule, teams: When and where PL friendlies will be played on USA tour image

Six clubs will take part in the Premier League's inaugural pre-season tournament in the USA before the start of the 2023/24 season.

The series will cover nine matches across five venues, as well as a range of events for fans and community groups.

Six-time top-flight champions Chelsea will take part in the first game when they face Brighton & Hove Albion.

When is the Premier League Summer Series?

The matches will take place across the course of eight days between Saturday July 22 and Sunday July, 2023.

The 2022/23 Premier League season is scheduled to end on May 28 and the new campaign is due to start on the weekend of August 12.

Premier League Summer Series stadiums

Below are the five cities that will host matches as part of the 2023 Premier League Summer Series: 

  • Atlanta, Ga. (Mercedes-Benz Stadium)
  • Harrison, N.J. (Red Bull Arena)
  • Landover, Md. (FedEx Field)
  • Orlando, Fla. (Exploria Stadium)
  • Philadelphia, Pa. (Lincoln Financial Field)

Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia is the home of NFL side the Philadelphia Eagles and has a capacity of 67,594.

That makes it slightly smaller than the NFL Washington Commanders' home of FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the home stadium of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and Major League Soccer (MLS) club Atlanta United, expanding to a capacity of more than 73,000 when needed for football.

Red Bull Arena in New Jersey is a 25,000-capacity football stadium used by MLS side the New York Red Bulls and NJ/NY Gotham, of the National Women's Soccer League.

Orlando's Exploria Stadium was opened with a 25,500 capacity for the first game of Orlando City SC's MLS season in 2017. National Women's Soccer League club Orlando Pride also play there.

How to buy Premier League Summer Series tickets

Fans will be able to buy tickets for all of the matches in the series through a pre-sale on Tuesday, April 25.

They will then go on general sale on Wednesday, April 26, with fans able to register their interest from April 11 on the series website.
