Pogba, De Bruyne and Kane get boost in FIFA FUT 18 ratings refresh image

EA Sports' winter upgrades of FIFA 18 players has finally begun, as the list of Premier League players given an overall rating upgrade was announced on Friday.

Paul Pogba, Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane were among the 60 players in the English top flight to see their ratings improve after a strong first half of the season.

Despite being dropped from Manchester United's starting XI in recent weeks and seeing a debate over his best position conducted in the media, Pogba has still impressed enough to earn a one point increase in his overall rating, taking him from 87 to 88. The France international is not the only United star to see his rating go up, as David de Gea, Anthony Martial and Nemanja Matic each went up by one, while Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young had a two-point increase.

Playing a starring role for Premier League leaders Manchester City this season, De Bruyne has gone from 89 up to 91, while team-mates David Silva, Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Otamendi are among several of Pep Guardiola's key men to have also gone up to add even more strength to their squad.

The top flight's top scorer with 23 goals from 26 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, Kane is now rated 88 overall, two more than his previous rating, and sees team-mates Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen go up too.

But it's not just English football's biggest performers who have benefited from the upgrade this month. Leicester City star Harry Maguire, apparently wanted by Man City, has gone up by four, James Tarkowski of Burnley enjoyed an increase of five and West Bromwich Albion's Ahmed Hegazi is now seven points better off.
