Selangor vs Perak match highlights
SELANGOR
Khairul Azhan Khalid - 6/10
The custodian did not do much wrong in the encounter, his tenth consecutive match for the Red Giants. However, he was unlucky to concede a goal; an own goal by centre back Alfonso de la Cruz.
Amirul Ashraf Ariffin - 5/10
The young right back had a shaky game, and his failure to backtrack quickly enough led to the visitors' goal.
Alfonso de la Cruz - 5/10
The Spanish centre back did fairly well throughout the match to keep out the Bos Gaurus' attackers, except for his 42nd minute own goal.
Willian Pacheco - 6/10
The Brazilian centre back did fairly well throughout the match to keep out the Bos Gaurus' attackers, taking risks to go up and join his team's attack after they went behind.
Kannan Kalaiselvan - 6/10
The left back had a tough time guarding his flank, but did just enough to keep the lively Perak attack away from his side of the penalty box.
Saiful Ridzuan Selamat - 5/10
Could not stop Perak midfielders from dominating the middle of the park, which resulted in his side resorting to hoofing long balls to the front. Picked up a yellow card in the second half.
Evan Dimas Darmono - 6/10
The Indonesian midfielder was unable to help Selangor play a more attacking game, but did sufficiently well defending from the midfield position with his interceptions.
Amri Yahyah - 7/10 (Man of the Match)
The 37-year old player, playing in a more attacking role, was the liveliest Selangor player on the pitch and caused problems to much younger opposing players. Capped off his fine performance with his 81st minute equaliser, his second league goal of the season.
Kugan Dhevarajan - 4/10
The 21-year old forward scored his first ever goal for Selangor in their previous league match, but could not replicate his form on Tuesday. He struggled to create space and chances for his attacking teammates.
Rufino Segovia - 5/10
With Selangor midfielders pinned back in their own half and attackers underperforming, the Spanish attacker had to drop down to help his side regain possession of the ball, and was unable to threaten the visitors' danger area.
Shahrul Igwan Samsudin - 4/10
The forward played rather poorly, unable to penetrate Perak's penalty area through the left.
Substitutions:
Syahmi Safari - 6/10
The youngster came on just before the hour mark for Evan, and was able to help change things around in midfield for the hosts.
Halim Zainal - 6/10
The midfielder's 73rd-minute introduction for Shahrul further helped the Red Giants control the midfield in the second half, which then created space for them to net the equaliser.
Azamuddin Akil - NA
The forward came on in the 82nd minute for Kugan, his first game since almost two months ago.
PERAK
Khairul Amri Salehuddin - 5/10
The goalkeeper was rarely troubled in the match, but when he was, he couldn't keep out Amri's try; Selangor's equaliser.
Amirul Azhan Bin Aznan - 6/10
The right back did well to help keep out Selangor attackers, but conceded the foul that then led to the hosts' equaliser.
Jad Noureddine - 7/10
The Lebanese centre back commanded his defence well, keeping out the usually lethal Rufino and making sure that Khairul had good cover.
Shahrul Saad - 7/10
The defender paired up well with Jad, ensuring that Selangor could not penetrate into the penalty box.
Nazirul Naim Che Hashim - 6/10
The left back was rarely troubled by the underperforming Kugan.
Kenny Pallraj Davaragi - 7/10
The right midfielder made himself a nuisance on the wing, making sure that Kannan was too busy marking him to push up and help the hosts' attacks.
Brendan Gan - 7/10
The Malaysian international commanded the middle of the park, helping ensure that his team won the battle in midfield, keeping Selangor midfielders at bay, and stopping them from delivering the ball to the forwards.
Khairil Anuar Zamri - 7/10
The midfielder combined well with Gan to control the midfield, but had to be taken off just after the hour mark due to a worrying-looking injury.
Nor Hakim Hassan - 7/10
Hakim ensured that Perak's left flank caused problems to the hosts, and it was his low cross that Alfonso inadvertently knocked into his own net in the 42nd minute.
Nizad Ayub - 6/10
The forward provided enough support for Brazilian forward Wander Luiz.
Wander Luiz - 6/10
The Brazilian forward managed to threaten the Selangor danger area with his attempts, but without his compatriot and striker partner Gilmar, he failed to find the back of the net.
Substitutions:
Rafiuddin Roddin - 5/10
Rafiuddin came on for Khairil, but could not help the Bos Gaurus maintain their midfield dominance, which allowed the momentum of the game to change hands and Selangor to find the equaliser.
Asyraf Sahizah - NA
Came on late for Nizad.
