Spain have won their first Olympic gold medal since Pep Guardiola led the team to glory in 1992, topping hosts France in a thrilling final that finished 5-3 after extra-time.

It was a fantastic tournament from start to finish, with youth teams from all over the globe competing for a shot at a medal.

Spain's summer of destiny continued as they managed to secure the international double, winning Euro 2024 before their gold medal run. Despite the heartbreaking defeat in the final, Thierry Henry and hosts France took home a very respectable silver medal, while a strong Morocco squad emphatically won bronze with a massive 6-0 victory over Egypt.

The United States reached the knockout round for only the second time ever but fell short of progressing further.

The Sporting News breaks down the full list of results throughout the tournament.
