Norway vs Spain prediction, odds, betting tips and best bets for Euro 2024 qualifying match image

Matchday eight of Euro 2024 qualifying pits Norway against Spain in Oslo, with the hosts knowing only a win will see them retain a chance of progressing from Group A.

Norway sit third in the group behind table-toppers Scotland having taken 10 points from their six games so far. Spain are second and know victory would see themselves and Steve Clarke's side qualify for next summer's tournament in Germany.

Although La Roja ran out 3-0 victors over Norway earlier in this qualification cycle, there were a few caveats. Joselu scored twice in the final 10 minutes to give the scoreline an inflated look, while the away side were also without Erling Haaland, who missed out through injury.

The Manchester City striker returned to international competition with a brace against Cyprus in midweek and Norway will hope he can be the difference maker this time around with qualification on the line.

    Norway vs Spain best bet

    • Pick: Both teams to score - YES
    • Odds: -120 (BetMGM)

After recording a 4-0 victory away to Cyprus in midweek, it feels like Norway have found their shooting boots at just the right time. Fellow forward Alex Sorloth joined Haaland in hitting the back of the net twice.

As a result, we're expecting them to at least get on the scoresheet, especially on home soil and with the cold weather closing in.

Spain themselves are in rich goalscoring form, scoring two more versus Scotland this week to take their tally to 15 goals across their past three qualifying outings. As such, they shouldn't find any problem in netting again in this clash.

    Norway vs Spain flier bet

    • Pick: Erling Haaland to score first
    • Odds: +400 (BetMGM)

Due to the level of opposition he and his team are facing, Haaland is only the joint most likely first goalscorer in this match.

With Spanish duo Alvaro Morata and Joselu also sitting at +400 with BetMGM to open the scoring, we think there's real value in backing Haaland, especially after his electric performance against Cyprus.

Granted, Spain are a much tougher side to beat than Cyprus. But back in Oslo and with La Roja backline not looking as strong as it previously has, this feels a great selection at +400.
