Looking to remain perfect through Euro qualification, France travel to Amsterdam to take on the Netherlands in a marquee Group B matchup.

Les Bleus have collected a perfect 15 points through the first five matches, including a 4-0 pasting of the Dutch to begin the qualifying cycle. The Netherlands, however, have recovered with three wins of their own, and can pull within three points of the top if they can hold serve at home.

The Netherlands, however, have an injury riddled squad missing a host of key players including Frenkie de Jong, Cody Gakpo, and Matthijs de Ligt, while their goalkeeping situation remains in constant flux. The widespread fitness problems have seen a whopping six uncapped players named to the Dutch squad, including two goalkeepers.

France can all but confirm their place atop the group with a win, while the Dutch need points to leave themselves in a comfortable spot in second. The Oranje sit second on nine points, level with Greece, but have a game in hand.

Netherlands vs France prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: France (+120)
  • Score prediction: Netherlands 0-2 France

Despite the lopsided scoreline last time these two teams matched up, the odds for the reverse fixture in Amsterdam are quite even, with France installed as a plus-odds favourite.

While the Netherlands are no doubt a quality opponent, a strong, first-choice lineup was humbled in Saint Denis back in March, and now they feature an injury-riddled squad that could be further brushed aside by one of the world's best teams.

    Netherlands vs France: best bet

    • Pick: France to win and over 1.5 total goals
    • Odds: +170 (BetMGM)

The Netherlands were humbled by France 4-0 in their Euro opener back in March. In that game, the Dutch were without Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs de Ligt and Cody Gakpo who are all also out injured for this game as well.

Dutch boss Ronald Koeman has improved the side, but these injuries are too much to overcome against one of the world's best teams, especially without a consistent option at goalkeeper.

Taking France to win and over 2.5 goals at +240 is enticing, but Didier Deschamps often values defensive solidity over an overwhelming attacking presence, and despite the lopsided scoreline last time out, it's not enough of a boost in return to take the added risk.

    Netherlands vs France prop bet

    • Pick: Kylian Mbappe anytime goal scorer
    • Odds: +135 (FanDuel)

Kylian Mbappe opened the year in white-hot form, with eight goals in his first five matches with PSG after returning from his brief standoff. It's gone a bit quiet, without a goal in his last four including poor shooting performances against Stade Rennes and Clermont Foot, but we all know what Mbappe is capable of.

His two goal, one assist masterpiece against the Dutch back in March will have him chomping at the bit for a chance to attacking this depleted Netherlands back line and get back to his scoring form.

With the exceptional service provided by France's best players like Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele, Theo Hernandez, Aurelien Tchouameni and other world class players, plus Mbappe's own electricity on the ball, France appear to be good value for a routine victory.
