Charly Musonda has criticised Chelsea on his Instagram page over a lack of first-team chances at Stamford Bridge amid contract talks with the club.

Chelsea are hoping to tie down the 20-year-old to a new deal after he scored on his full debut against Nottingham Forest last month, but Musonda took to social media after growing unhappy with the first round of negotiations.

Chelsea 4/11 to beat Palace

The Belgium Under 21 international uploaded a black square and cryptic message to his Instagram account, which currently has almost 150,000 followers.

Goal has since confirmed that the post was related to contract talks, as well as over a lack of first-team chances at the club after making just three appearances so far this season.

"You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what's expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should. And what do you get back? Literally nothing,... done," Musonda said on Instagram. "However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game."

Musonda trained with Chelsea's first-team group on Monday after returning from a holiday with his family.

His brother Lamisha was with the Chelsea youngster on his recent holiday and posted a comment to his Instagram page, which publicly confirmed that his cryptic post was about Chelsea.

"It's starting to look like they wouldn't know what they have if Ronaldo or Messi coming out of the academy (sic)."

Chelsea have struggled to keep some of their academy products happy as last season's breakthrough star Nathaniel Chalobah pushed for a £5 million move to Watford over a lack of first-team opportunities. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also thought to have pressed for a loan move to Crystal Palace after relatively few chances last season.
