Barca ahead of Man Utd in Griezmann chase


Manchester United face a battle to convince Antoine Griezmann to join them, with Barcelona considered favourites to land the Atletico Madrid star, according to ESPN .

The Red Devils retain an interest in the France international but he would prefer to stay in Spain, thus edging Barca to the front of the queue for his signature.

Griezmann is unlikely to leave the Liga club in January and although he remains open to a switch to Old Trafford, there are still reservations about swapping Madrid for Manchester.


Roma still want Darmian

Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian remains Roma’s primary target in their search for a new right-back, reports  Corriere dello Sport .

Darmian has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Old Trafford, but the Italy international’s agent recently insisted he was not for sale .

However, Roma are still interested in bringing Darmian back to Serie A, even if a loan deal for the rest of the season is unlikely.


Juventus ready Ozil offer

Juventus are ready to move for Mesut Ozil, if the Arsenal playmaker doesn’t join Manchester United in the January transfer window, claims Corriere dello Sport .

Ozil is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a €40 million reunion with his former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho at United.

However, if that transfer doesn’t materialise, then Juve, who have been long-term admirers of Ozil, will look to put together a package to sign the Germany international on a free transfer and offer him the chance to play in a new league.

Talks between Antoine Griezmann and Manchester United are floundering over the Atletico Madrid star's outrageous wage demands, claims the Sun .

Atletico's France international has attracted attention from both United and Barcelona, with Jose Mourinho's men tipped as his likely next club. 

Sources close to the Red Devils, however, claim that Griezmann wants a mammoth £400,000 a week to join the club next summer.

While Luiz also drew interest from Manchester United, he was more interested in Los Bloncos, though it now seems as though Zinedine Zidane believes he might cause issues in the dressing room with the club having two established centre-backs.
