Nicky Butt will replace Warren Joyce as the manager of Manchester United's Under-23 team.

Who should Mexico call up?

The former United midfielder has been head of the Old Trafford club's youth academy since February after Brian McClair left the role.

However after Joyce was appointed new Wigan Athletic manager on Wednesday, the 41-year-old has stepped up to take over the team on match days, while it's thought academy coach Tommy Martin will take the reigns of every day training responsibilities.

It is unknown whether Butt will take over the position permanently or will eventually look to recruit a long-term replacement for Joyce.

In the interim, the last remaining member of the 'Class of '92' still employed by the club, looks set to manage some of United's hottest prospects, such as Axel Tuanzebe, Ro-Shaun Williams and Demetri Mitchell.

He will certainly be hoping he can emulate the feats of his own former youth coach Eric Harrison and progress some of his youngsters towards Jose Mourinho's first team.

Who should the USA call up?

Butt made 387 appearances during his playing career at Old Trafford, winning six Premier League titles, as well as two FA Cup's and a UEFA Champions League.
