Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has lashed out at the media following reports suggesting he could turn his back on a return to Chelsea.

Late on Sunday night, Lukaku took to Twitter to tell the press to “Stay out of my business” so he can concentrate on his Everton career following claims in The Sun that he could reject a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The 23-year-old, who is still under contract until 2019, will reportedly not sign an extension at Goodison Park and that has sparked rumours regarding his next destination.

Former club Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for the Belgian, while his old manager Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be interested in taking the powerful forward to Manchester United.

But, following the latest round of speculation, Lukaku responded by tweeting: “Some media these days are annoying man…”

“As long as I didn’t make a public statement about my situation please stay out of my business ok?”

The tweets aimed at The Sun come just a few weeks after the same paper was banned from Goodison Park following an article on team-mate Ross Barkley.
