The art of celebration has become almost as important as the art of scoring goals itself in the world of modern football, and Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino has admitted that careful consideration goes into how best to react to finding the target.

Klopp backs Karius

The Brazilian forward already has four efforts to his name this season, to go with the 11 he plundered in all competitions last term.

He is looking more at home at Anfield, following a big-money switch in the summer of 2015, with his creativity in the final third and willingness to press from the front making him a firm favorite of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

Firmino insists he is revelling in the responsibility which accompanies turning out for a club of Liverpool’s stature, but is also aware of the need to inject an element of fun every so often — especially when finding the back of the net.

He told the club’s official website: “Whenever there is a new song out, we’ll sometimes try to rehearse a celebration so when one of us scores a goal we can celebrate it together.

“I find this a nice thing between team-mates to show the friendship between us and I try to do this whenever I can.”

Firmino has already roped countryman Philippe Coutinho and summer signing Sadio Mane into his carefully choreographed routines, and Liverpool supporters will hope that there are plenty more to come — starting in Saturday’s home date with West Brom.
