‘Kasimpasa have to fight’, says Bernard Mensah after consecutive losses image

Following last weekend’s embarrassing defeat to Fenerbache, Kasimpasa’s midfielder Bernard Mensah has urged his side to ‘fight to win’ their upcoming encounters.

Depe Ilhan, assisted by Mensah, scored Kasimpasa’s only goal as their visitors handed them a 4-1 thumping.

This was their second consecutive loss which ended a three-match winning streak. And with an away fixture to Trabzonspor next up, the Ghana international wants his side to put in efforts to win subsequent games.

"We will fight to win. All our matches are difficult but we have to fight," Mensah told Damga Gazete.

“I believe we will get the scores we need if we make a lot of effort and get over it.”

Mensah has made 28 appearances, scoring four goals while providing five others.

And Kasimpasa are ninth in the Turkish Super Lig log after 31 games, picking 40 points - eight adrift of relegation - from them. A win in Saturday's game against Trabzonspor will ease them of relegation worries ahead of their last fixtures of the season with Gençlerbirliği and Istanbul Basaksehir.
