Kasim Nuhu endured a night to forget in the Champions League on Tuesday as he scored the decisive own-goal in Young Boys1-0 defeat to CSKA Moscow in Bern.

The Ghanaian centre-back lined up at the heart of the Swiss side’s defence as they hosted CKA Moskva in the final round qualifier for the Champions League at the Stade de Suisse Wankdorf, but it soon became a night to forget for the 22-year-old.

Under pressure from an opponent, Adams attempted to play it safe by playing a first-time flick back to his own goalkeeper. But his header needed a bit of weight to reach his goalkeeper, he quickly realised that and calmly turned around- now facing his goalkeeper- to head the ball once more, only to realise that David von Ballmoos was already miles out of his line and the header was placed beyond his reach with the match already in consolation time.

The former Medeama, Leganes and Mallorca man's mistake will now send them back to Moscow needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit next week.
