Fresh from bagging a hat-trick in a 4-0 mauling of Stoke, the England international opened the scoring at White Hart Lane in spectacular style, with a dipping long-range effort punishing the visitors for failing to close him down.

Kane then took his top-flight tally for the season to 19 with another in the second half, with that strike setting a new benchmark for the north London outfit.

Kane’s importance to the Spurs cause cannot be underestimated, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side looking to him for inspiration.

The Tottenham frontman claimed the Premier League Golden Boot in 2015-16 with a 25-goal return and is now well on course to defend that crown after making another telling contribution against the Toffees.
