Goal can reveal that Kaizer Chiefs striker Siphele Mthembu should complete his six-month loan deal with Bloemfontein Celtic before the end of the week.

According to the 29-year-old frontman's agent Miguel Paiva, the player is already in Bloemfontein to finalise the deal.

"He's in Bloemfontein... we are waiting to complete a six-month loan deal [for him]," Paiva told Goal

"The deal should be finalised in the next couple of days," he concluded.

Mthembu struggled for regular game time during his two-and-a-half year stint with Amakhosi, and although he was registered with the PSL for this season after being removed from the transfer list at the beginning of the campaign, he still couldn't break into the team's starting line-up.

Goal reported in November last year that Chiefs were looking to offload the burly striker this year after he failed to command a regular place in Steve Komphela's team.

Mthembu's career appeared to be heading towards the right direction whilst at Platinum Stars three seasons ago, but it took a nosedive as soon as he returned to Naturena for a 'second spell'.

He will be looking to grab the opportunity to play for Phunya Sele Sele with both hands and possibly convince the technical team that he deserves a permanent contract ahead of next season.
