Real Madrid are set to step up their efforts to sign Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, according to  Gianluca Di Marzio .

Egypt international Salah has been a revelation for the Reds since moving to Anfield in the summer, scoring 23 goals in all competitions in the opening months of the campaign.

But his stay on Merseyside could be short-lived, with Madrid keen to bring in a big name to counter Barcelona's signing of Philippe Coutinho.

Manchester City have held talks over a deal for Evans, while Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has suggested his club will struggle to compete with the Premier League leaders for the centre-half.

Evans, who left Old Trafford for West Brom in 2015, remains of interest for his old club, while Everton and West Ham are also watching matters.

Arsenal are interested in signing in-demand Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, according to  Catalunya Radio, via Sport.

Rafinha is looking to leave Barca in January in search of regular first-team football, and he is a target for Celta Vigo and Inter Milan.

He could be allowed to leave on loan with a view to a €20 million permanent move, with Arsenal one of three clubs interested.


Hernandez targeted by LAFC

Major League Soccer expansion side Los Angeles FC are interested in West Ham striker Javier Hernandez, according to the  Evening Standard. 

Hernandez joined the Hammers from Bayer Leverkusen for £16 million last summer, and West Ham would reportedly need to recoup their investment in order to sell the Mexican international. 

LAFC begin their first MLS season in March and could pair Hernandez with his international team-mate Carlos Vela, who has signed from Real Sociedad. 


Arda set for Istanbul Basaksehir

Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan's move to Istanbul Basaksehir is set to be confirmed this week, according to the Turkish club's coach. 

The 30-year-old has yet to appear in La Liga this season, and Basaksehir manager Abdullah Avci said that Turan's move back to his home country will be announced Thursday or Friday.

Malcom is also a target for Manchester United , but Arsenal are hoping discussions with the Brazilian’s advisors will lead to an agreement.


Sterling set for new £250,000-a-week deal

Raheem Sterling is in line for a new Manchester City contract worth in excess of £250,000 a week, reports  The Guardian.

Sterling’s current deals expires in 2020 and he earns a basic £170,000 a week, with City keen to reward the England international with a bumper new deal.

The total package is likely to land Sterling a sizeable increase, with City keen to start talks over a new deal for the winger in February.

If he does, then Ancelotti, who was sacked by Bayern Munich in September, is a leading option to take charge, although the Italian is also a possibility for his former club Chelsea should Antonio Conte quit his Stamford Bridge post.

Lemar turned down a £90m move to Arsenal on deadline day in August, and Monaco are set to begin the bidding for the 22-year-old's services at that figure.

The Ligue 1 side are open to selling Lemar in January, as the club are out of the Champions League and far off Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.

Christensen signs new Chelsea contract

The 21-year-old defender has been a solid player for Antonio Conte’s side this season, making 22 appearances so far.
