January transfer news & rumours: Borussia Dortmund want Mkhitaryan back image

DORTMUND WANT MKHITARYAN BACK


Borussia Dortmund are continuing to show an interest in bringing Manchester United attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan back to the club, reports The Independent .

Mkhitaryan left Dortmund for Old Trafford in the summer of 2016, but the Armenia international has struggled to make a sustained impact under Jose Mourinho.

The United boss has not ruled out selling players in January, amid reports he will let Mkhitaryan go, while any return to the Bundesliga could help Mourinho in his pursuit of Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl.


MAN UTD TO MAKE £60M SANDRO BID

Manchester United are set to launch a £60 million bid for Juventus full-back Alex Sandro in January, according to the  Daily Mirror .

United boss Jose Mourinho has been a keen admirer of the Brazil international for some time as he looks to improve his backline at Old Trafford.

And though Juve rejected a £65m bid from Chelsea in the summer, they could now be open to a sale following Sandro's drop in form during the 2017-18 campaign.


CHRISTENSEN TO HOLD CHELSEA TALKS

Andreas Christensen is expected to hold talks with Chelsea regarding a new contract, reports the  Evening Standard .

The 21-year-old’s current deal expires in 2020, but Chelsea are keen to reward the centre-half with an extension following his impressive impact in the first team this season.

Christensen spent the previous two years on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, but has now established himself as a key member of Blues boss Antonio Conte’s plans.

Chelsea are considering making a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to the  Daily Mirror .

The Ivory Coast international has been in superb form for the Eagles, with Antonio Conte monitoring his progress.

Tottenham have previously been linked with the former Manchester United man, but the Premier League champions could now move to the front of the queue, though any move is unlikely to take place until the summer transfer window.

Multiple outlets report the club wants to extend Guardiola's stay , but the Mirror says City hope to sign him to a four-year extension worth up to £80 million.

Manchester United is ready to move on from Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer in hopes of clearing salary room for Mesut Ozil, according to the  Mirror .

The report states Mourinho has told the unhappy attacker he can leave, while also informing Marouane Fellaini that he can depart in January if the right offer comes in.

The 20-year-old Swiss forward, who is on loan from Red Bull Salzburg, played in Basel's Champions League win over Manchester United and has been tracked by Red Devils scouts.

However, the report states Newcastle is in pole position to sign Oberlin, who is valued at £20 million. 


AUBAMEYANG SIGNS SECRET DORTMUND EXTENSION

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has agreed to extend his Borussia Dortmund contract until 2021 after a secret meeting with club officials, reports Bild .

The Gabon striker has been widely linked with a move away from BVB, but he looks set to stay put as a reported summit with sporting director Michael Zorc ended with his contract renewal.

Now the Blues are hoping to sign Sandro for £50 million, significantly below the price first quoted by the Serie A champions.
