Sunderland starlet Joel Asoro claims Arsenal are keen on signing him this summer but says the Gunners' interest in him has come as a shock.

The 18-year-old forward has been reported to be the focus of a £5 million bid from the Emirates outfit, a deal which would also include his Black Cats team-mate Benjamin Mbunga-Kimpioka,
Asoro is yet to make his full first-team debut for Sunderland but is seen by those at the Stadium of Light as one of the most promising prospects at the club.
The Sweden Under-21 star, who has 14 Under-17 goals to his name, played nine minutes of Premier League football last season.
As such, the striker is not getting ahead of himself as a result of his lack of game time.
“People were a little shocked because I have played very little first-team football," Asoro told Swedish reporters.
“I've heard a little bit, but if I think about it too much, it becomes ‘what if, what if.’ I try not to think about it too much.

“It came as a shock. It is clear clubs contact each other and stuff, but it's my agent in charge of it. I try to focus on my football.”
Sunderland are currently without a manager following David Moyes' dismissal, while the club remains on the market.
Asoro is part of the Sweden Under-21 side currently in Poland looking to retain the European Championship they won two years ago.
