Toronto FC goalkeeper Clint Irwin and Montreal Impact attacker Harry Shipp were among the 259 players made available for Tuesday's MLS Expansion Draft.

Atlanta United and Minnesota United FC will each be able to select up to five players in the draft and on Monday, the other 20 MLS teams released their lists of players left protected and unprotected for the event.

Irwin led TFC to the MLS Cup final, where Seattle vanquished the home side in Saturday's showpiece. Shipp was acquired by Montreal from Chicago as a centerpiece of the Canadian side's offseason last year, but fell out of favor as the season progressed.

Toronto FC forced to look forward as MLS offseason begins

Each current MLS club had the opportunity to protect 11 players from their 2016 roster. Generation Adidas players (who did not graduate at the end of the 2016 season) and homegrown players are automatically protected and do not count against a team’s 11 protected roster spots.

Current MLS clubs can only lose a maximum of one player in the draft. For a full list of protected and unprotected players for the Expansion Draft, click HERE

The 2016 Expansion Draft will be streamed live on MLSsoccer.com on Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m. ET.
