Following its opening match against Real Salt Lake, Inter Miami continues its MLS Opening Weekend action with a star-studded trip to Los Angeles to play LA Galaxy.
Due to Lionel Messi's mid-season arrival at Inter Miami, this is his first trip to Dignity Sports Health Park to face the Galaxy. He visited BMO Stadium in 2023, in a 3-1 victory over LAFC. Messi finished with two assists that night and all eyes will be on him again to see what kind of performance he can put on in the City of Angels. In America's city of stars, tickets to see Messi will certainly be in high demand.
This season, Messi has the likes of Luis Suarez to pass to along with fellow former Barcelona teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.
The Galaxy are coming off a horrible season by their standards, and will look to make a big impact in their season opener. The Galaxy finished last season second-to-last in the Western Conference, and last in their Leagues Cup group. This year, they've added Brazilian winger Gabriel Pec and American centerback John Nelson as part of a revamped squad, looking to make it back to the MLS Cup playoffs.
Ticket interest in this match spiked upon the release of the MLS opening weekend schedule, and there is surging demand to be in the stadium for Messi's second appearance in Los Angeles.
