Xherdan Shaqiri is remaining evasive on speculation linking him with Liverpool ahead of the World Cup, insisting that his focus is on Switzerland.
The Stoke City winger will head to Russia with his national team this week, with the Swiss set to take on Brazil, Costa Rica and Serbia in Group E of the tournament.
However, he has confirmed that he will leave the Potters this summer following the club's relegation from the Premier League to the Championship, prompting speculation about his potential destination.
Having spent time in Germany with Bayern Munich and Italy with Inter, Shaqiri has not ruled out a move back to the continent, but believes that England is "perfect" for him.
As well as Liverpool, the likes of Tottenham, Southampton and Everton have all been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old, who is reported to have a release clause of £13.5 million (€15m).
Shaqiri featured as Switzerland won their final pre-tournament friendly against Japan, running out 2-0 winners, and the former Bayern star was asked about the possibility of a move to Liverpool following the game.
Asked by Blick about Anfield, he responded with a laugh and replied: “Anfield is great, definitely." He then enquired: "Why are you talking about Liverpool?"
After being told of Liverpool's reported interest in his services Shaqiri said: “I can't tell you anything right now. I think my agents take care of my future.
“I'm focusing on the national team right now.”
Shaqiri scored eight goals and provided seven assists for the Potters last season, but could not prevent them from relegation.
He will hope to have a greater impact with Switzerland as they get their World Cup campaign under way on June 17 against Brazil, before facing Serbia and Costa Rica on June 22 and 27 respectively.
