Manchester City outcast Joe Hart has refused to rule out a transfer to Manchester United, but concedes there is a “possibility that no-one will want me”.
The England international found himself frozen out at the Etihad Stadium shortly after Pep Guardiola’s arrival as City’s new manager.
Having been made aware that he was surplus to requirements, he was allowed to take in a season-long loan at Serie A side Torino.
Hart wants future sorted quickly
A permanent switch is expected to be made this summer, with it being suggested that Hart could cross the Manchester divide and join the ranks at Old Trafford.
He is, however, reluctant to speculate on such talk for now, telling Sky Sports: “I can’t talk to anyone.
“I’m a Man City player, I’ve got two years on my contract and I can’t have any contact with anyone. And I won’t.
“I’m a Manchester City player until I get told otherwise, that we’ve agreed a deal with someone or Manchester City have said that I can go.”
With Hart prepared to let City have the final say on his future, the 30-year-old goalkeeper acknowledges that there is a chance he could be forced to spend another season with the club.
He is, however, eager to ensure that does not happen, with it up to him to put himself in the shop window.
The two-time Premier League champion added: “I can’t say that it’s not been on my mind.
'Sterling must improve end product'
“There is that possibility that no-one will want me and there is that possibility that I end up at Man City and I don’t play.
“That possibility is there but I know that I’m going to do everything I can to be in a situation where someone wants me to come and play for them. I can’t make that happen, but I’m going to try my best.”
Hart joined City in 2006 and has made 348 appearances for the club.
He was, however, handed just one outing by Guardiola before being moved on and is aware that he needs regular game time if he is to retain his place as England’s number one heading towards the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
