Dreams FC executive chairman Kurt Okraku believes the likes of Asamoah Gyan and Abedi Ayew have what it takes to aspire for Ghana's presidency.

The GFA executive committee member was speaking in the wake of George Weah's contest in Liberia's recent presidential elections.

Following Tuesday's run-off, reports say the 1995 Fifa Player of the Year is in the driving seat as the world awaits the official result of the polls.

"Perhaps I will show my biases and focus my lenses on the immediate generation," Okraku told Asempa FM on Ghana's possible candidates.

"I think Abedi [Ayew] Pele, Stephen Appiah and Asamoah Gyan can aspire to such heights.

"If they are interested and decide to educate themselves a bit, they can also become leaders of this country.

"At the end of the day, it's about interest and the desire to serve in different capacities after football.

"But I think they have the quality required to aspire for such greatness."

Weah is currently up against incumbent vice president Joseph Boakai.

It is the former AC Milan man's second time of running for Liberia's top office, having lost to current president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in 2005.
