Kelechi Iheanacho has been urged to “leave Manchester City” by his advisor after being treated unfairly by Pep Guardiola.

The Nigeria international saw regular game time during the opening months of the season and repaid that faith with four goals by mid-October.

He has, however, added just another three to that tally since after finding himself restricted to a bit-part role.

'Walker will be consumed by City talk'

Guardiola has now been accused of favouritism after offering more minutes to Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, with Olumide Olowu calling on Iheanacho to consider his future at 20 years of age.

He told Completesportsnigeria.com: "Iheancho needs to leave Manchester City and he will find a better place to continue his youngcareer.

"Guardiola seems to have his own players that he wants to play and you can’t expect a young player with huge potential to be wasting away on the bench.

Kelechi Iheanacho Manchester City

"Kelechi had already shown his quality before Manchester City signed Gabriel Jesus, he had already proven himself.

"I’m not speaking for Iheanacho, but as someone who is involved in advising him, I don’t think he has been treated fairly by Guardiola and I think his career will be better elsewhere.

Dolberg rules out City or Utd move

"For whatever reason, he has not been given the opportunity to continue his progress at City."

Iheanacho made his breakthrough in 2015-16 under Manuel Pellegrini, netting 14 times in 35 appearances across all competitions.

He has taken in just 23 outings this term, with only five of those being Premier League starts.
