The Selecao have marched to eight consecutive victories in World Cup qualifying since Tite’s June 2016 appointment and, in March, became the first nation to qualify for World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Prior to announcing his latest squad, Tite and his team will make another scouting trip to Europe and Asia in order to observe the current members of his squad and take a closer look at some potential new arrivals.

Tite técnico Brasil 2017

Tite’s assistant, Sylvinho, was present in France last week for PSG’s 5-0 defeat of Monaco in the Coupe de France, where he watched the likes of Lucas Moura, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Jorge.

He has hoped to cast an eye over Fabinho, however he was left out as Monaco rested their first-choice players with one eye keenly foucsed on this week’s UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Sylvinho will be present in Madrid this week to watch Real Madrid’s Champions League semi-final versus local ricals Atletico, and he will then head back to France to watch Monaco host Juventus.

Tite’s other assistant, Cleber Xavier, will be responsible for scouting Eastern Europe, along with analyst Thomaz Araújo. They will spend around a week watching players and talking to local clubs. Zenit’s Giuliano will be of particular interest to the duo.

Tite e Matheus Bacchi - Corinthians

And with an ever-increasing number of high-profile Brazilians now plying their trade in China, Asian football will also receive a visit.

Tite’s son Matheus Bacchi will once again head to China, and will be joined by another member of the technical committee, Fernando Lazaro.

Current internationals Gil, Paulinho and Renato Augusto will be in store for a visit, but they will also be paying close attention to the likes of Alex Teixeira, Ricardo Goulart, Hulk and Oscar – a all of whom are hoping to break back into the national team setup ahead of next year’s World Cup.
