France look to secure a spot in the Euro 2024 knockout stage as they finish off Group D play with a match against Poland on Tuesday.

Les Bleus have yet to solidify their spot in the Round of 16, sitting on four points through the first two games. They sit level with the Netherlands on both points and goal difference after their uninspiring scoreless draw which left both with plenty to improve on the rest of the way.

France will likely have Kylian Mbappe to call upon — sporting a protective mask — as he returns from a broken nose suffered late in the opener against Austria.

Poland, meanwhile, are already out of the tournament thanks to a pair of defeats to begin group stage play. Three points here would only bring them level with third-placed Austria, and because the first Euro tiebreaker is head-to-head results, their defeat to Austria would see them fail to leap into a qualifying position.

France vs. Poland prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: France (-350)
  • Score prediction: France 2-0 Poland

France have already mathematically ensured they advance to the knockout round, but they will want to win so they ensure themselves of a top-placed qualifying spot for seeding purposes.

Meanwhile, Poland have already been eliminated from the competition on the heels of two defeats. They found the net in both matches thanks to a high shot total, but they will find less joy in this match as they go up against the suffocating tactics of Didier Deschamps. If Poland can't improve their efficiency up front, they'll have no answer for France's organization.

France vs. Poland best bet

  • Pick: Under 2.5 total goals
  • Odds: +125 (BetMGM)

While Euro 2024 got under way with a bang, the goal scoring pace has slowed considerably. The second round of group matches saw just four of 12 matches go over 2.5 goals, with only seven of the 24 participants scoring two or more goals.

France have been at the heart of that, having scored just a single goal through their first two group games. This is classic Didier Deschamps, who has consistently kept his talented attacking unit on a leash unless forced to release the hounds in a do-or-die situation.

Neither of their first two games qualified as a do-or-die situation, and given the fact they can qualify even in defeat, neither does this game against Poland. They will once again lean on their possessional dominance and defensive solidity to carry them through.

France vs. Poland prop bet

  • Pick: Poland over 3.5 total corners
  • Odds: +120 (BetMGM)

France have been troubled somewhat by counter-attacking teams in recent months, and while that doesn't always show up on the scoresheet, it can manifest in other statistical categories such as corners. Les Bleus gave up six corners to Austria in their Euro 2024 opener, while Chile got four in a high-scoring friendly earlier this year.

Having already been eliminated from knockout stage contention, Poland may play a little freer with little to lose. Stay away from the high bar of nine total corners in the match, as France themselves don't always come to the party, but their opponents should look to press the issue and rack up their own mediocre total that eclipses this low threshold.
