France vs Australia team news: Mbappe, Griezmann & Dembele all start for Les Bleus image

Didier Deschamps has selected Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele to start in an all-star attack as they kick off their World Cup with a game against Australia.

Mbappe's fitness had been a slight concern ahead of the game after he was caught by a tackle from Adil Rami in training during the week.

However, the Paris Saint-Germain star takes his place up front alongside Atletico Madrid forward Griezmann and Barcelona youngster Dembele.

Mbappe and Griezmann started against USA in France's last friendly before their trip to Russia, but Olivier Giroud has been dropped in favour of Dembele.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante start in midfield, partnered by Corentin Tolisso instead of Blaise Matuidi.

The French have a heavy Spain-based defence, too, with Atletico Madrid's Lucas Hernandez, Real Madrid hero Raphael Varane and Barca's Samuel Umtiti playing alongside right-back Benjamin Pavard.

Australia, meanwhile, line up with Andrew Nabbout in attack being supported by Robbie Kruse and Matthew Leckie on the wings.

Huddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy takes a place at the base of the midfield beside Mile Jedinak, while Brighton & Hove Albion's Mathew Ryan is in goal.

France XI: Lloris, Pavard, Varane, Umtiti, Hernandez, Pogba, Kante, Tolisso, Griezmann, Mbappe, Dembele.

Australia XI: Ryan, Milligan, Behich, Risdon, Sainsbury, Mooy, Jedinak, Rogic, Leckie, Kruse, Nabbout.
