Fantasy Football: Swansea land Ki, Ayew, and Van der Hoorn in our Premier League Team of the Week image

Another week of Premier League action is in the rearview mirror and it was a good time to be a Swansea or South Korean player. Fortunately for Ki Sung-Yeung, he falls wholly in the middle of that venn diagram.

The Welsh side dominated West Ham to the tune of a 4-1 victory and have now clawed their way all the way up to 13th, having previously been favourites to be relegated this season. In fact, Swansea have the fifth best record in the Premier League since the appointment of Carlos Carvalhal at the close of 2017.

Without any ados, further or otherwise, here is the matchweek 29 Goal Premier League Team of the Week.

GK: Jack Butland - Stoke - 1 Game, 6 Saves, 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Points

DF: Lewis Dunk - Brighton - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Goal Conceded = 8 Points

Dunk’s goal, while fantastically taken, was definitely a collectors item seeing as how it was his first goal of the season. All credit to the English defender, though, as he has led the Brighton defence to a creditable job this season, as they are one of the ten best teams in both clean sheets and goals conceded. However, the latter shouldn’t be relied upon too much as Brighton have held their opponents to nil just once in the last 10 matches.

DF: Mike van der Hoorn - Swansea - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Goal Conceded = 8 Points

Nicolas Otamendi Manchester City

DF: Nicolas Otamendi - Man City - 1 Game, 1 Clean Sheet = 7 Points

MF: Heung-Min Son - Tottenham - 1 Game, 2 Goals = 14 Points

The Tottenham winger has been a frustrating own thus far due to his irregular minutes, but he’s having a very good Fantasy season nonetheless. Son currently sits top 10 in goals scored and has the sixth most points in the Goal game amongst midfielders. His performance on Saturday was a great example of what he is capable of and it’s unlikely his owners would want to ditch him before he faces Bournemouth and their bottom ten defence at the weekend.

MF: Ki Sung-Yeung - Swansea - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 11 Points

It was a good week to be South Korean as Ki joins Son in our Team of the Week. The Swansea man had a fantastic season in 2014 which you may recall, but his two goals this season match his total from the past two seasons combined. If he has found that form again he could be a phenomenal bargain at just £4.6m. Swansea missing match week 31 will hurt his ownability but, if he performs well against Huddersfield this week, may be worth bringing in after the Manchester United match.

MF: Riyad Mahrez - Leicester City - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

MF: Mo Salah - Liverpool - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

The referenced media source is missing and needs to be re-embedded.

Another week, another Mohamed Salah goal. He has been undoubtedly the best Fantasy option this season as evidenced by the 47 point gap between him and second placed Harry Kane. He is not only a must-own, but is close to a must-captain option from now until the end of the season, considering he plays in MW31 and faces just three top 10 defences in Liverpool’s remaining matches. Some may question captaining the Egyptian against Manchester United’s second-best league defence, but imagine the damage he may be able to do after the trouble Andros Townsend and Jeffrey Schlupp caused them this week.

MF: Bernardo Silva - Manchester City - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

FWD: Andre Ayew - Swansea - 1 Game, 2 Assists = 8 Points

FWD: Glenn Murray - Brighton - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 7 Points
