England manager Gareth Southgate is facing calls to make changes against Slovenia to kick-start his team's Euro 2024 campaign.
The Three Lions have taken four points from two games and are guaranteed to top Group C if they get the win against Matjaz Kek's side. Results in Group B on Monday mean they will still qualify as one of the four best third-place sides even if Slovenia claim a shock win.
That only tells half the story, however. A talent-packed England fell away after scoring early in both their 1-0 win over Serbia and 1-1 draw against Denmark last time out.
Southgate's team have lacked natural width on the left-hand side and struggled to control games in or out of possession. Denmark unpicked their pressing structure with ease, while the experiment of fielding Trent Alexander-Arnold as a central midfielder has yielded mixed results.
Alexander-Arnold could make way for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher against Slovenia but, whatever the lineup, it would be a timely moment for England to turn in a performance in line with a status that placed them among the pre-tournament favourites.
