D.C. United has announced it has traded forward Kennedy Igboananike to the Portland Timbers, in addition to several other moves.
Portland acquired Igboananike in exchange for a second-round 2017 MLS SuperDraft selection, after DCU traded for the designated player from the Chicago Fire at midseason. Igboananike scored one goal for United in limited playing time.

In addition, DCU has traded midfielder Miguel Aguilar and a 2019 fourth-round MLS SuperDraft pick to the LA Galaxy in exchange for a 2018 fourth-round pick. Aguilar spent two seasons with DCU after being selected in the first round of the 2015 SuperDraft. He made 23 total appearances for the club.
D.C. United also announced that it did not exercise the 2017 contract options for Chris Korb, Andrew Dykstra, and Alvaro Saborío.
