Ruben Loftus-Cheek will soon move to Crystal Palace on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea as Frank de Boer closes in on his first signing at Selhurst Park.

The 21-year-old is set for the first such move of his career as he bids to play regular first team football, with Antonio Conte and Chelsea intending to make a number of major signings.

Betis want Chelsea's Pasalic

The England U21 international will seal the switch in the next 24 hours with his medical scheduled for Monday evening, while an official announcement is expected on Tuesday.

The Chelsea academy product played only 11 times last season with his six appearances in the Premier League coming from the bench.

The midfielder's £60,000-a-week deal with his parent club runs until 2021, with the Blues determined to see him become a first-team player in the future.
