The Selecao were in fine form in the round of 16, dispatching South Korea, 4-1, with a performance full of flair and verve, particularly in the opening 45 minutes.

By contrast, Croatia needed penalties to take them past Japan after a 1-1 draw in normal time — the European side's third normal time draw in this tournament.

But Brazil will not take Zlatko Dalic's men lightly and will need to be at their free-scoring best to break down one of the meanest defenses in international football.
