Ronaldo's remarkable goal tally is spread over club and international appearances, beginning with five goals for first club Sporting, 118 in a successful spell with Manchester United, 55 for Portugal and 322 for current club Madrid.

The Portugal attacked joined the 10-times Champions League winners in 2009 for what was then a world record fee of €94 million ($105M), and set about topping La Liga scoring charts from the outset.

The 30-year-old's first season in Madrid yielded 33 goals from 35 appearances, an impressive feat in itself, before exploding into truly prodigious goal-scoring form, averaging over 50 goals in each of the subsequent seasons.

Ronaldo's career has been littered with trophies, including three Premier League titles and two Champions League wins, as well as three Ballon d'Or titles as an individual.

The forward is also his country's highest-ever scorer, surpassing illustrious names such as Eusebio, and has amassed 122 international caps.
