Atalanta have a chance to secure the first half of what would be a historic Cup double as they battle Juventus in the Coppa Italia final in a rematch of the 2021 final on Wednesday.

Looking for the club's second cup trophy in history and first since their lone Coppa Italia title in 1963, Atalanta are also slated to contest the Europa League final in one week's time against unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen, but will focus on their quest for domestic silverware first.

La Dea has been steadily on the rise since promotion back to the top flight in 2011, reaching the Coppa Italia final twice before in the last decade but falling just short on both occasions. They have also been a consistent European participant, and would secure a place at least in next year's Europa League by triumphing in this match.

14-time winners Juventus will not go down lightly however, as the Old Lady sit fourth in the Serie A table, coasting to the finish line amidst a season which has so far proven fruitless. They were left in the dust for the Serie A title along with all other sides as Inter walked to an easy Scudetto, and did not participate in Europe thanks to a self-imposed sanction, so this trophy has been the target for months.

Juventus vs. Atalanta prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: Atalanta (+145)
  • Score prediction: Atalanta 2-1 Juventus

At this stage of the season, Atalanta are simply in better form and a better side than Juventus, both on paper and in execution. Having recently knocked out Premier League giants Liverpool in the Europa League quarterfinals and currently on a seven-match unbeaten run, Atalanta have put together a multitude of comprehensive performances on both ends of the pitch in recent weeks.

Juventus, meanwhile, have not won in six straight games and have just two wins since the start of March which began with defeat at struggling Napoli and includes a pair of losses to Lazio as well as draws with Genoa, Torino, Cagliari, and Salernitana which put their top four standing in jeopardy.

Juventus vs. Atalanta best bet

  • Pick: Atalanta to win 1H
  • Odds: +210 (BetMGM)

Since the start of February, Atalanta have been the second-best first half team in Serie A, with a +11 goal differential, just one behind title winners Inter. Meanwhile, in that same time, Juventus have been the second-worst first half performer in the Italian top flight, with a -6 goal differential.

Atalanta have won the first half in five of their last eight matches, and did so against Juventus in their most recent league meeting back in March as well in an eventual 2-2 draw.

Juventus vs. Atalanta prop bet

  • Pick: Ademola Lookman to score or assist a goal
  • Odds: +155 (FanDuel)
  • Pick: Teun Koopmeiners to score or assist a goal
  • Odds: +220 (FanDuel)

Breaching this Juventus defensive unit will be a challenge, but in-form duo Ademola Lookman and Teun Koopmeiners are up to the task. Both Atalanta forwards have been strong in recent months, especially Lookman who has collected two goals and four assists in his last seven matches across all competitions, including a hearty one goal, one assist performance against Marseille to secure a place in the Europa League final.

Koopmeiners, meanwhile, sports better odds despite having procured two goals and two assists in his last six appearances, including his last time out where he bagged an assist to Charles de Ketelaere amidst four shots and three chances created.

With in-form striker Gianluca Scamacca suspended for the final, Atalanta will need other sources of goal scoring, and these two are amongst the most likely sources.
