Concafa SC vs. Hoosier Army score, highlights: Pat McAfee's team eliminated from TST 2024 in quarterfinals image

Pat McAfee's exciting side Concafa SC electrified crowds at the second iteration of The Soccer Tournament in Cary, NC this year, but they are headed home after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Indiana alumni side Hoosier Army in the quarterfinals.

With McAfee himself injured after sustaining a hip flexor injury in a previous match, Concafa started well and controlled play through the first half, but fell apart after halftime as the legs began to tire.

Hoosier Army, who entered the match undefeated in the tournament through five games, took command of the match after halftime and were incredibly unlucky not to score earlier, pummeling Thomas Sanner's goal and hitting the post at least three times.

With the match scoreless through the 40 minutes of regulation, it entered Target Score Time level, meaning the next goal would see a team advance. Hoosier Army continued barnstorming up front, and finally broke through on a goal by Austin Panchot just a few minutes into sudden death.

Star of the side Pat McAfee will no longer partake at the tournament as he sustained what he claims is a "full f—ing tear" of his hip flexor. It's unclear whether former USMNT defender Geoff Cameron is fit to take part after missing their Round of 16 matchup against Tenfifteen.

Notable players who will take the field for Concafa SC include former USMNT defender Brek Shea, as well as Zat Knight who made just shy of 300 appearances in the Premier League for the likes of Reading and Blackburn.
