Colombia heads to Arizona as it continues its 2024 Copa America journey.

The 12th-ranked Cafeteros are set to face CONCACAF side Costa Rica in both nations' second match of the tournament on June 28. This comes after Colombia opens against Paraguay in Houston, Texas, while Costa Rica starts with Brazil in the Los Angeles metro area.

Colombia showcased its excellent defensive pressing ability and quick attacks in transition in a 5-1 friendly win over the U.S., and the Cafeteros will be looking to make a deep run at Copa America. From Jefferson Lerma in midfield to Luis Diaz up top, plus James Rodriguez and Juan Fernando Quintero pinging passes left and right, Colombia looks like a team that has all the pieces to make a run to the final.

Costa Rica meanwhile are going through a transition period, but veteran stars including Joel Campbell and Francisco Calvo remain. However, this tournament is a chance for less experienced players, including Ariel Lassiter (son of former USMNT forward Roy Lassiter), and teenagers Josimar Alcócer and Warren Madrigal, to put themselves in the shop window and show that they should be a big piece of World Cup qualifying moving forward.
