Chelsea look set for a much more exciting transfer window than initially anticipated, following the recent developments that have seen Todd Boehly and his consortium complete their takeover of the club.
Before then, there was a real fear that this summer could've been one of real uncertainty at Stamford Bridge, leaving Chelsea in a perilous position going into the new campaign. Thomas Tuchel now looks set to have been given the green light to seek out key targets to bolster his squad ahead of 2022/23.
Six players have left the Blues so far this window, however, Chelsea are yet to make their first signing after the changeover in ownership in west London. Young loanees such as Conor Gallagher, Ethan Ampadu, and Armando Broja have returned to the fold, which will add further competition once pre-season training commences.
Confirmed transfers in
Despite being linked with several high-profile targets such as Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus, Chelsea have made no confirmed signings so far this summer, nevertheless, movement will be expected over the coming weeks.
Confirmed transfers out
Chelsea have seen six players walk through the Stamford Bridge exit doors since the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign, with stalwart Antonio Rudiger being amongst the most notable players to depart from west London.
What a special day - for me & for my whole family. Already after one day I realised what a big, big club this is here. Thanks for the warm welcome @realmadrid. I'm more motivated than ever now ... 🔥 #HalaMadrid pic.twitter.com/32CM0wdw55

Excitingly for Chelsea, they have a whole host of loan talent returning from productive spells across various different clubs as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Thomas Tuchel will have time to assess and conclude whether some of them could prove to be valuable first-team players in the immediate future at Stamford Bridge, potentially saving the German coach money in several positions should they prove themselves.
