Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco has questioned the reasoning behind the potential sale of Edin Dzeko to Chelsea, stating that he would need an explanation from the club if they were to allow their main striker to leave in the winter.

The Bosnian has been locked in talks with the Premier League outfit, with personal terms said to be holding up the finalisation of a switch to Stamford Bridge, while a deal for Giallorossi team-mate Emerson is looking close to completion.

Slimani drops Chelsea hint?

Football.London believe that Islam Slimani has dopped a huge hint that he is on the verge of joining Chelsea, with the striker posting a picture of the Blues attacking Arsenal during their cup match Wednesday on his Instagram account. 

The Algerian is keen to leave Leicester City this month and has been linked with a loan move to Monaco, though the Foxes would reportedly be willing to ship him to a Premier League rival for £20 million. 


Baba Rahman to re-join Schalke

The Blues are willing to let him go as they finialize the signing of Emerson Palmieri from Roma this week.

Roma brush off Chelsea's Dzeko bid

Roma sporting director Monchi was dismissive of Chelsea's efforts to sign striker Edin Dzeko, calling the club's bid "uninteresting".

“Roma, like every club in the world, listen to the offers that arrive for their players, not just for Edin, but anyone in the squad,” Monchi told  Mediaset Premium .

“We are ready to listen and then we decide. Now Dzeko is here and the rest doesn’t matter, which means the offer that arrived is not interesting.”

Dzeko offered €8m-a-year Chelsea deal


Edin Dzeko Roma Roma striker Edin Dzeko has been offered an €8 million-a-year contract to join Chelsea, claims  Corriere dello Sport .

Chelsea have already agreed a deal with Roma to sign Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri , and are now working on finalising personal terms for the pair.

Dzeko is expected to start Roma’s game against Sampdoria on Wednesday , but the former Manchester City forward is edging closer to a return to the Premier League and he can expect an increase on his current €4.5m-a-year salary.


Alex Sandro is Man Utd's No.1 left-back target

Alex Sandro is Manchester United’s primary target, if Jose Mourinho decides to sign a new left-back in the summer, reports the Manchester Evening News .

Mourinho has abandoned plans to bring in a left-back in January, having also been linked with the likes of Tottenham’s Danny Rose and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney.

However, if Mourinho decides to sell Luke Shaw, who has endured a resurgence in form of late, at the end of the season, then he wants Alex Sandro from Juventus.

Chelsea have previously tried to sign Alex Sandro, but have found Juventus to be reluctant sellers amid reports the Italian champions want in excess of €60 million for the Brazilian.


Roma open Carrasco talks

Roma are in talks to sign Atletico Madrid attacker Yannick Carrasco on loan with a view to a permanent deal, claims  Calciomercato.com .

Arsenal and Chelsea had been linked with a move for Carrasco following reports Atletico are looking to offload the Belgium international.

But, with Edin Dzeko set to join Chelsea, Roma have moved for Carrasco and will offer €25 million to sign the 24-year-old permanently at the end of his loan.


Arthur Melo agrees Barcelona move

Gremio midfielder Arthur Melo has agreed to join Barcelona ahead of a clutch of other leading European clubs, claims  Mundo Deportivo .

Barcelona have persuaded the 21-year-old to reject reported interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid in order to move to Camp Nou.

The Catalan club must now agree a deal with Gremio, who have previously insisted that Arthur will not leave the club for less than his €50 million release clause .

However, Barca hope to agree a deal for around €25m and would be prepared to allow Arthur to spend another year on loan at Gremio as part of the package.


Batshuayi move depends on Dzeko arrival

Antonio Conte has affirmed that Michy Batshuayi's exit from Chelsea depends on the Blues landing Edin Dzeko from Roma.

Batshuayi has been linked with a loan switch to Sevilla, while Dzeko is expected to complete a return to the Premier League in the current transfer window.
