The second leg of Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 is finally here after a delay of almost six months amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But in the United States, the match will be shown by a different network than the one that broadcast the first leg back in February.

When Bayern beat Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge so many months ago, Turner Sports was the exclusive English language provider of Champions League action in the U.S. Now CBS has the rights, and because the network is pushing its live streaming service CBS All Access, Saturday's second leg is not on TV in the U.S.

As for the game itself, the Blues need a miracle if they are to advance from Munich and into the quarterfinal round of the Champions League tournament. Bayern not only dominated Chelsea in the first leg of the Round of 16, but they have handled all Champions League competition with relative ease, sweeping Group B and exiting the group stage with the best goal differential (+19) in the competition.

Below is all you need to know to watch Saturday's second leg of Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea in the Champions League Round of 16, plus a complete TV schedule for the rest of the tournament.

CBS was supposed to take over the exclusive English language rights for Champions League matches starting in 2021, but it did so ahead of schedule after Turner Sports prematurely ended its deal in June. So CBS is now the home for Champions League action in the United States, but it will show only three of the 11 remaining matches this season on TV.

As for the rest, including Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea in the Round of 16 second leg, all Champions League matches are available live on CBS All Access, which is the network's online streaming service.

CBS All Access starts at $5.99 a month, but it is offering a one-month free trial promotion for new subscribers through mid-August. Users can cancel subscriptions at any time.

Below are the devices on which CBS All Access can be streamed:

  • Android
  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • Apple TV
  • Google Chromecast
  • Amazon FireTV
  • LG
  • PlayStation 4
  • Xbox One
  • Roku

Champions League TV channel for Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea

Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea is not on TV in the U.S., as CBS is pushing its live streaming service, CBS All Access, and showing only a few games on TV via CBS Sports Network.

CBS Sports Network is showing Barcelona vs. Napoli at the same time Saturday as Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea simply because two Champions League games are being played simultaneously. CBS did the same for yesterday's Juventus vs. Lyon and Manchester City vs. Real Madrid matches.

The only standalone Champions League match that will be shown live on TV is the Champions League Final on Aug. 26. It is scheduled to air live on CBS Sports Network at 3 p.m. ET.

Champions League TV schedule

The coronavirus shut down live sports on the same day (March 11) that Paris Saint-Germain beat Dortmund and Atlético Madrid topped Liverpool to advance to the Champions League quarterfinals. That left four Round of 16 games left on the schedule.

The Champions League recently determined all four remaining Round of 16 matches could play out at their originally scheduled locations before the tournament heads to Lisbon, Portugal, the neutral site for all semifinal and quarterfinal matches as well as the Final.

"It’s a phenomenal format for us in the U.S. to do it this way,” ViacomCBS chief digital officer Marc DeBevoise told The Associated Press. "A single elimination tournament is something these audiences fully understand. Obviously, there are big soccer fans but March Madness having been effectively canceled, I think people are hungry for things like this.”

All Champions League matches are scheduled to start at 3 p.m. ET. Below is the complete Champions League schedule from what's left of the Round of 16 through the Final at the end of the month.
