Jurgen Klopp will be introduced as Liverpool manager on Friday after the English Premier League side called a news conference "for a major club announcement."
The former Borussia Dortmund boss is the front runner to replace Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked Sunday. He was pictured Thursday preparing to board a flight from Germany to the United Kingdom.

Reports suggested he sign a three-year contract before the media event.
Klopp garnered a reputation as one of Europe's best coaches during a seven-year stint at Dortmund, where he won two Bundesliga titles and claimed the DFB-Pokal.
Klopp left Dortmund in May and, having initially insisted on taking a sabbatical, looks set to be in place for Liverpool's Premier League match Oct. 17 at Tottenham.
