The New York Red Bulls striker finished one goal ahead of New York City FC's David Villa for the MLS scoring title after netting his 24th strike of 2016 in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Union.
Connecting with an over-the-top pass from Aurelien Collin the 26th minute, Wright-Phillips chipped the ball over Union goalkeeper Andre Blake and tapped into the empty net.

The total was just three short of Wright-Phillips' 27-goal haul from 2014, which tied the single-season record.
Wright-Phillips joins Taylor Twellman, Jeff Cunningham and Chris Wondolowski as players to have won the scoring title twice.
