Lucas Perez has left Arsenal on loan to rejoin his former club Deportivo, the teams confirmed on Wednesday.
The striker was born in La Coruna, and played for the La Liga side for two seasons before moving to Arsenal in 2016.

After just one season at the Emirates Stadium, however, Perez has been allowed to go back to his hometown after struggling to break into the Gunners first team during his maiden campaign.
"Lucas Perez has rejoined Spanish side Deportivo de La Coruna on loan for the 2017/18 season," Arsenal confirmed in a statement.
"Lucas returns to Deportivo, where he enjoyed a prolific campaign in 2015/16, equalling a club record for goals scored in successive games.
Good luck at @RCDeportivo this season, @LP10oficial https://t.co/WKcsrvFzzU

"Among the highlights of Lucas’s time with us last season are his wonderful volley away to Bournemouth in January and his hat-trick in our Champions’ League victory over Basel.
"The 28 year-old has netted a total of seven times for the club in 21 appearances to date.
"We all wish Lucas well for his time with Deportivo this coming season.
"The loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes."
The well-travelled Spaniard began his career as a trainee at Atletico Madrid, and has since had spells at Rayo, Karpaty Lviv and Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine and Greece's PAOK as well as the Gunners.
