Arsenal team news: Ozil left out of Wenger's last home game image

Mesut Ozil has been left out of the Arsenal squad for Sunday's match against Burnley - Arsene Wenger's last home game in charge.

The Germany international was criticised in the wake of Thursday's defeat to Atletico Madrid, which saw the Gunners crash out of the Europa League and is not even on the bench against Sean Dyche's men.

Instead, Alex Iwobi lines up in attacking midfield while Henrikh Mkhitaryan is back in the first-team.

Wenger has opted for Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to lead the attack together from the start for the second time in the Premier League since the latter joined in January.

Meanwhile, centre-backs Konstantinos Mavropanos and Calum Chambers are back in the starting XI, replacing Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny.

Burnley coach Dyche has made just one change to the team that drew 0-0 with Brighton last week, as central midfielder Jeff Hendrick comes in to take striker Chris Wood's place.

The Clarets are guaranteed at least a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League and European football next season.

Victory at the Emirates would also move them level on points with Arsenal, who have a vastly superior goal difference and a game in hand.

Arsenal XI: Cech, Bellerin, Chambers, Mavropanos, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Wilshere, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Aubameyang, Lacazette.

Substitutes: Ospina, Mertesacker, Mustafi, Monreal, Maitland-Niles, Ramsey, Welbeck.

Burnley XI: Pope, Lowton, Long, Tarkowski, Ward; Lennon, Cork, Hendrick, Westwood, Gudmundsson; Barnes.

Substitutes: Heaton, Taylor, Marney, Vokes, Nkoudou, Wells, Bardsley.
